GDTA President
As Director of the Hasso Plattner Institute’s School of Design Thinking in Potsdam since 2007, he has helped shape how organizations, educators, and students worldwide approach complex problem-solving in the 21st century.
With a background in media arts and technology, Uli brings a multidisciplinary perspective to innovation education. He has worked across academia and industry, from animation and game design to systemic transformation in companies and public institutions. In 2017, he co-founded the Global Design Thinking Alliance (GDTA), a growing international network of institutions committed to advancing Design Thinking education and research.
Uli is passionate about empowering people to “think together and act together” to build meaningful, future-ready solutions—locally and globally. His work promotes a culture of creativity, empathy, and agile thinking that transcends borders and disciplines.
