Design Thinking is a methodology and a mindset that allows us to obtain innovative, effective and real solutions to satisfy human needs. It is based on the assumption that any problem has a solution and that solutions can be designed. It is widely used in European countries, and has become an essential approach for professionals and entrepreneurs. Everyone can learn and apply Design Thinking to any type of problem or challenge.

The Global Design Thinking Summit 2020 is organized by Universidad Mayor with the support of Corfo and inserted in the global network of Design Thinking schools. It is an event that seeks to bring together experts who are generating the necessary changes in the world through the use of Design Thinking. This event will allow us to continue bringing designers closer to the public and corporate sectors.

“Opportunities like these we haven’t had. Chile is emerging as a leader in Latin America in the use of design methodologies into companies and governments, thanks to the work of the Universidad Mayor and its first and only D-School in the region. In this event we have managed to bring together experts from around the world so they can share their experiences, and so our entrepreneurial ecosystem can take the lead in terms of design, innovation and public policies”, says Ismael Espinoza, Director of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creativity from the Universidad Mayor, where the Chilean D-School is housed.

The Global Design Thinking Summit will take place between November 3th and 5th, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Chilean time), where talks will be held at around Design Thinking applied in Education, Public Policies, Corporations and Civil Society. Registration is free but places are limited.
