The new GDTA member Industry Research & Development Group (IRDG), Ireland is hosting a virtual conference under the motto “Rethinking Business with Human-centered Design“.
The Global Design Thinking Alliance once again extends its network. From now on the GDTA can benefit from an idea and practice exchange with six other institutions: The Design Thinking Observatory at Politecnico Milano, Design Thinking Center Moscow, Industry Research & Development Group (IRDG), ULBS Sibiu, Darden School of Business, and Shenkar Collage for Design, Engineering, Art.
The exclusive online event will bring together world experts in Design Thinking.
Seiya Otta, former Volvo Global Director of Innovation and Design; Roberto Carreras, founder of VOIKERS, Runa Sabroe, director of Wonderful Copenhagen; and Claudia Nicolai, Academic Director of the HPI D-School Potsdam stand out among the several international guests.
The online event is organized by the D-School of Universidad Mayor from Chile, with the support of Corfo, and will take place on November 3, 4 and 5.
In the first week of December, Cairo became the central meeting point for startups from North Africa, the Middle East and beyond as the community came together for the annual Rise Up Summit. True to its theme, “Beyond the Status Quo”, the annual Design Thinking Association of Malaysia (DTAM) Awards 2019 saw individuals come together to celebrate Design Thinkers in the public and private sector who have made momentous impact in their respective organizations and communities.
The Global Design Thinking Alliance extends its network. On occasion of the annual conference at Hasso Plattner Institute, New York, the GDTA welcomed five new member institutions: The American University in Cairo, Echos Innovation Lab, Penn State University, Tecnológico de Monterrey and Universidad Mayor.
From April 4-6, 2019 GDTA president and HPI D-School Director Prof. Uli Weinberg travelled to Cairo to attend the first Global Forum on Higher Education and Scientific Research.
